WB was just so sudden and blunt on their last video deleting spree it took everyone by surprise.
Yeah, I should've downloaded that... it's so cool whenever someone uploads something especially for you... at least Tim Kelly still has his Pomegranit 7Up video up for me, lol.

It seems to me like someone else is pulling them down, not just Greed Bros. I mean, Incompitant Bros. I mean, can't turn a profit due to highering people who don't give a crap Bros. I mean Warner Bros.
WB has no jurisdiction over Chipmunks go to the movies. The WB basically has jurisdiction over the 1980's series and half the DIC produced series. it's clearly that animator who's angry that he's not getting money any other way. Personally, he should sue WB instead. They refuse to release it on DVD, rerun it on TV, or even aknowledge it in any way. he's losing money from them, not Youtube. these are people who taped these shows off of TV for free years ago. it's like letting friends borrow a tape or showing them all a tape at your house. You're not making any extra money due to that.
I just don't understand how they completely ignore people putting up huge, whole movies avialable on DVD, and pounce on unavailable programs that aren't anywhere else. And even then, go after the people online selling illegal compilations of these shows for profit.
Not to mention the Christmas special, the Halloween special, and those two Universal-produced monster movies (one of which I see on Toon Disney once-in-a-blue-moon)... but seriously!
And I mean, it's not like HE'S the only one who worked on the show! I could understand if Ross Bagdasarian Jr. and/or Janice Karman were the ones who wanted to have them pulled, because they're the ones who own the show and the characters and all, that'd be one thing, and that would be understandable, but this one lone animator using WB as his backup is just plain silly.
It reminds me of that whole Writers' Strike awhile back, and they were all upset inpart because TV shows and movies keep popping up on YouTube (and other video sites like MetaCafe and Dailymotion), and they weren't making any profit off them.
I WILL say this though, and this is slightly off-topic... and I may sound just a LITTLE hypocritical about this, but if I had television series that were produced: UNLESS they were being released on DVDs or being ran in syndication, then I wouldn't mind if people posted episodes on YouTube so fans could enjoy them. If they WERE on DVD, or in syndication, that'd be another thing, but other than that. And irregardless, I would actually love to see people use clips my shows (again, if I had any) for fanvids (like music videos, or YouTube Poops, because that'd let me know that fans appreciate the work enough to do fanmade things like that).

I would like to point out this last paragraph invalidates the first thing you said, because, well... The Christmas, Halloween, and movie specials are actually on DVD, and have been for some time. Those I wouldn't mind not seeing. It's the 1980's rare episodes they don't have available anywhere I wouldn't mind.
That said, I wish they'd realise this movie would have been as successful as it was. Mainly due to the fact that we really need to have some of the older albums rereleased. We got a compilation of old songs from the "Alvin Show" era, and the Christmas Album in a special repackage. But it would have been great to see Chipmunk Punk on CD for the first time. I mean, that's the album that resparked the Chipmunks after Ross Sr.'s death. I mean, rights are a problem, no doubt. But it would have been great to see them, even in best of compilations, to co-incide with the film.
