Actually it looks more like the Adventures of the Unofficial Local Mall Sponsered event with Chipette like Chimpunk characters to me. Believe me... I've seen some of those

Alvin leads The Chipmunks... Brittany leads The Chipettes... Alvin thinks The Chipmunks are the greatest... Brittany thinks The Chipettes are the greatest... Simon and Jeanette always hang out... Theodore and Eleanor always hang out... Alvin and Brittany sort of end up hanging out together, but they both have ego issues, and that gets in the way of their friendship.

That's why their "relationship" is so complicated.

Alvin and Brittany were married, were filthy rich, lived in a HUGE mansion, and had two sons, both of whom were named Alvin Jr.
