This episode from the 2nd season (Circa Zero Mostel) is guest star Mickey Rooney.
Cold Opening:
Scooter: Mickey Rooney? Fifteen seconds to curtain, Mr. Rooney?
Mickey: (Looks frightened) Scooter, I don't think I can go on?
Scooter: Why? Are you stage fright?
Mickey: No. Dragon fright. I saw a real dragon!
Scooter: Oh come on. There's no such thing as dragons.
(The head of the dragon burst out the closet.)
Dragon: Surprise!
Scooter: Guess I was wrong.
S & M: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
Gonzo: Blows trumpet and fire comes out.
Opening number: Puttin' On the Ritz-Horses did a song and dance number. They even do the old soft horseshoe.
Backstage: Scooter tells Kermit there's a dragon on the loose in the theatre. But, Kermit didn't believe him. Mickey burst out of his dressing room telling Kermit that he saw a dragon. Kermit decided that he can do that song from the movie Pete's Dragon to get his mind over.
Song: I Saw a Dragon-With Mickey Rooney in the bar room telling the monsters that he saw a dragon.
Backstage: Fozzie got a little bit scared told Kermit that there's a dragon inside the theatre. Kermit didn't believe him and left. After Kermit exit, the dragon appeared. He tap on Fozzie's shoulder and said, "Excuse me, but do you have a match I can burrow?" And Fozzie ran away.

UK Spot: Gonzo sings Younger Than Springtime with Camilla.
Vetenarian's Hospital: With a surprise patient, Mickey Rooney stills saying that he saw a dragon.
Backstage: Everybody keeps saying that they saw a dragon. The dragon burst out of the table and Kermit finally realize that Mickey and his friends are right. Kermit was frightened, but the dragon assured him that he's a nice dragon and he dreams to be in the show. And Kermit agreed.
Closing Number: Mickey wasn't afraid of the dragon no more and sings "I Don't Need Anything But You" with the dragon.
Now the cold opening, I don't if it's my best one. I did the best I can.
