I was thumbing through the September copy of Animation magazine when I saw a blurb about this production company, and George of the Jungle was listed as new projects. From the discription it seems pretty good...

Firstly, it's about time a new Jay Ward animation project has surfaced. After the dual failures of Dudley Do-Right and Bullwinkle the movie, I guess they realize there may be life in these classic characters.

Secondly, being a huge Jay Ward fan, I've been tinkering about ideas for a new Bullwinkle series, and hoping to one day contact Ward's family to get feedback. MAinly as an internet cartoon or something. I wish I thought of that first.

Thirdly, classic shows are invaritabley better than the newer ones, if for anything else, nostalgic purposes. I really hope by "Updated" they don't prostitute the thing to work for lame brained kids. Keeping the show just as sharp as the Ward team did.

Fourthly.. I hope this will air, if made, in the US.

I'm right with you on Jay Ward. Man was a genius, and it'd be great to see his creations find new life!

Can you imagine a modern Crusader Rabbit?

Modern Crusader Rabbit, no... but there was a series revival back in the mid to late 50's, after a copywrite dispute left Jay on the losing side of the character.

The only other Ward cartoon made (outside of the obvious advertisements) was the "Phox, Box, and the Lox" short before the Dudley movie.

I just wonder if June Foray will be back as the voice of Ursula.

Wow! What was that?

I'm glad for the release of the original.

I would like for there to be a new Bullwinkle series. There were plans for a new show back in the early 1980s, which never got on the air. In addition to familar segments from the show, it was to include George of the Jungle, Super Chicken, and some new segments that Jay Ward produced unsold pilots for back in the 1970s. I wonder if Adult Swim or Comedy Central would be great networks to show it. Or maybe it could be seen in prime time.

It would also be great to see a series starring Boris and Natasha.

I liked the R&B movie. It cracked me up, and Alexander and Russo were AWESOME.

Ah, yes. The new Bullwinkle show. It was to be animated by the facilities of DePatie Freling. There was also another revival in the form of a Super Bowl special, but do to the fact it had negative caracatures of the NFL team owners (and some meathead asked for permission from the NFL) it never happened.

You know, I thought I was the only one. It was a pretty good film. just that girl spy was the only problem I had with it.
