Time to bump the thread up. (hears cacophonic jangling of piano keys in another room) Someone want to get an ice pack for Don?

Anyways, here's wishing everyone a happy Valentine's Day (or Singles Awareness Day, if you prefer). :flirt::wink:

Well, sadly I had my phone on vibrate and went to bed early yesterday and so missed getting together with my friends today for "Anti Valentine's Day", waaah! Hehe, well the nice thing is that when I finally contacted them, they let me know how relieved they were I was OK. It's nice to have friends. I can't think of a better Valentine's Day gift.

I used to give girls the wrong address because I didn't want to receive Valentine's Day cards. :embarrassed: Maybe that's why I don't have a girlfriend now. Lol! :stick_out_tongue:

Well no that wouldn't help, hehe. Still, there's always next time!

I was just watching the Linda Carter episode of the Muppet Show where everyone dresses up like super heroes. A couple things I noticed, there's the part where Lew Zealand tries to see through the stageroom door using X-ray vision. Fozzie ends up swinging and crashing through the door. Following the crash, Lew mistakenly decides, "Yay! I saw through the door! I have X-ray vision.!" Though this is clearly untrue, we see Scooter looks up at the chaos, eagerly nodding in agreement lol.

Then another scene where everyone's on top of a ladder about to attempt flying. All except Scooter, who's safely at the bottom of the ladder reading the instruction manual. Scooter reads off the fanciful instructions, at which point everyone prepares to fly...only to fall flat on their faces!

In both cases, I can't help but think of Scooter being the guy who's eager to please and perhaps even brown nose a bit, hehe, but still keeps himself far from harm's way. Hehe

Oh, yeah, how did the instructions go? "The air is my home."

And let's face it - Scooter's no idiot. But I'm wondering about Lew Zealand trying to see through the door with X-ray vision...

All in all, the Lynda Carter episode's a good one for Scooter. He's really at the center of the backstage action, with all the superhero antics and stuff. And to top it off, he gets a kiss from Lynda toward the end, during "Orange-Colored Sky." As some poster on youtube said, "That Scooter is one lucky puppet!"

Yeah! Good point! You have to suffer and be humble first, before you get to upstage!
Then again, in the audition phases for FR, Rob, Trish and Gord were the complete opposite of humble - they were doing their level best to hog the spotlight. Like I said earlier, those guys were practically the Three Stooges - and of course, Karen Prell pointed them out when she was describing how the camera will always catch the puppeteer when he or she is doing rude things with the puppet.

And of course, as Jerry said of Richard in his early days, "He was such a bouncy little puppy. We had to squelch him all the time."

I thought it was cute how the future Gorg group ended up getting some assistance from Richard at their audition. They must have been wondering before then if he liked them, considering his respond to Gord a few minutes before!

Well, they all went in to see Richard in the audition room one at a time, so Richard could take their picture and bark orders at them - Rob went in first, then Trish, then Gord. And they took turns carrying the suitcase of props they'd brought along.

When it was Gord's turn:

Richard: Are you with those two?
Gord: Yeah, I am.
Richard: Get out of here.
