Well, you wouldn't sound exactly like you would at the age of 90 as you would 23, heh!
Lol, well you're right. I guess it's cause I'm a girl, I never think much about voice changing, lol.

Where do you tart and where do you take him from there. At what point in scooter development do you start as a reformer? That's the problem with characters that have been around for a long time. You go at one point he sounded like or his personality was like this. What part or point would people remember best? That the problem with bugs that have three or four guys that all sound like Mel Blanc but at dirfferent times in his career and they can't settle at one point that they think he sounded the best or most recodnizable.
Yeah, I mean I would think it's best to go with the personality and voice the audience most remembers and identifies with the character. We think a character like Bugs Bunny would be easy, but obviously not!

Richard seemed like he was always one to say exactly what was on his mind. He could just image him telling the puppet builders something to the tune of, "Hey! Can we get a neck or scooter, here! How are you suppose to preform him properly how he doesn't have a neck?" hehe!

He does really seem like a fair guy!
Oh fer sure, he wouldn't let them get away with that! Not a guy who insisted his forgetful cowboy character not be too stupid, hehe.

And yeah it drives me crazy when Tough Pigs doesn't update, lol.

I do see what you mean. I guess a good example would be Mrs. June Foray. She sounds a bit more grandma-ish now, heh!

Then again, June Foray has so many different character voices, it might be hard to tell which one's hers.

Read the Tough Pigs interview with Steve - and I loved Steve's line about Richard always being for the underdog and all that, as well as his descriptions about the other four - Frank's all analytical, Dave's very precise, Jim's the grand master and Jerry will come out of nowhere with some incredible voice.

Well I think a better example would be Fran Brill as far as the character has grown or changed over the years. For one things her voice used to be somewhat lower piche3d and softer, Now I would say it's higher pitched and more confident. But it's changes so many times it's hard to define one way it wound sound.

But yeah! I like how each puppeteer has something different to bring to the table. It's that combination that really made them work so well! Also I think another side of Richard's was his sense of perfectionism. It was fun work but work he took very seriously.

It is cool how everyone contributes something different. It's kind of like a great comedic potluck - someone's bringing the casserole, someone's bringing the salad, someone's bringing the triple-chocolate brownies, that kind of thing.

Our tickets for the SS forum in January came in the mail this week, so it looks as if we're locked in.

My father really wants to bring his camera, but Mom and I are doubting that he'll be allowed to.

My tickets came on Saturday, yay! I can finally stop worrying about it, lol.

Hmm, you could call the box office about camera use. I know The Paley Center for instance doesn't allow cameras. But William Patterson might. ::shrugs::

Don't forget the orange juice and chocolate doughnuts!

You know what I thought was interesting? Both Steve and Dave sort say the same thing about each other's puppeteering, that they are excellent manipulators. Clearly they were ment to be a team! :concern::shifty:

I remember reading in Of Muppets and Men that Jerry seemed slightly like the hip outsider in the group, similar to Floyd. I think that does go along with the idea that he's not afraid to just use his normal voice occasionally. :sing:

That's right, don't forget the orange juice and the doughnuts...in fact, don't even skimp on the dessert table. You can supply maybe a few main dishes and sides and salads, but never skimp on the sweet stuff.

Yes, as Gonzo and Rizzo or as Boober and Wembley or as many other characters, Dave and Steve were meant to be a twosome - a fact that was painfully obvious on the set of Fraggle Rock, between their grabbing people's ankles and spooking everyone.

(And after Tim the special effects guy rigged up that confetti bomb, I wonder how many cast and crew immediately ran up to him and shook his hand or patted him on the back?)

Yeah, Jerry's always struck me as one of the more laid-back members of team Muppet - on one end you've got gleefully energetic types like Richard, and on the other you've got more serious types like Frank, and Jerry falls somewhere in the middle, sort of. It seems that Floyd is a wish-fulfillment character for him. And it's like Jim said, "I want you to be Gobo because he's the one who holds everyone together."

To me Frank is crazy! He really is a funny and silly person. It's just hat he takes the comedy very seriously.

My tickets came too. If we all bring a camera, we'll get enough pictures. xD

Hey maybe Jane will be there.

Who else is going? We should all meet, I think.

Who's going? Let's see, there's you, me and heralde - that's three. MelissaY1 and ploobis have their tickets, so that's five. I think Oscarfan, matleo and zns indicated that they were going, so that makes eight.

Wouldn't it be really sweet if Jane shows up...this thing's also being done as a tribute to Richard, so maybe she will drop in.
