Yeah that's funny! It's like there is a side to the adults we have never seen before somtimes, heh!
Yeah I like the adults best when genuinely annoyed/bemused with the Muppets lol

I love how in Richards delivery on that line he plays it completaly strait!
Yeah rully, others might have done it over the top or giggling or something and it wouldn't be as funny.

Me too! And I really love how the Muppets can drive them to a point where they pull them into doing some of the completely nonsensical things!

Yeah like this nice example:

I love when Bob's annoyed cause he's normally so calm and mature, lol.
LOL! That clip is just too funny! I love how bob gradually gets more into the song with each new animal and I love how Placido keep making himself more important with every go again too! I've always liked it when bob was annoyed for some reason. He seems to be the human who plays it the sitarists but probably has the craziest side to him out of all the humans in the cast. He never fails to make me laugh!:zany:

Just like Richard & other Muppet performers, Bob can go from straight man to outright laugh riot.

Yeah I'm amazed at all the movies and shows I watched as a kid where I had no idea what was going on, but loved them just the same. Lol
Yeah - in some cases it just takes a while to be able to pick up on certain things. There are a number of things in GMC that went straight over my head when I was a young kid - one was the line in "Happiness Hotel" that went "still the management is cheerful, though the whole joint's gone to...":flirt:

It also took me a while to figure out that the man at the Dubonnet was, um, shall we say, running around behind his wife's back. (For a long time I thought that the other woman was his daughter or something.)

For me I recall the scene where all the Muppets are going over their checklist for the big plan; I didn't really get that the peanutbutter comment and the "I don't have any other pants!" were supposed to be jokes. I thought they were just honestly saying they had no peanutbutter...or pants, lol.

LOL; It's nice to finally get jokes after years of not understanding them.

Time to bump the thread up again...

I also didn't pick up on Nicky's title of "Irresponsible Parasite" at first, but when I watched the movie again much later I had a good smirk about it.

I dreamed last night that I was looking at a photo taken on the set of some Muppet production or other, and everyone's scattered around doing assorted stuff, and towards the top of the photo, Richard is giving someone a hug. Can't tell who it is, though.
