Behind the RHLC-ers, hehe, I like that!

In grammar and middle school, I was told how important it was to write in script. I struggled a lot with it but eventually I only wrote in script. Then, heh, suddenly in High School I was the ONLY ONE who knew how to read and write script! :stick_out_tongue:

I've always gone to Catholic school and I definitely think it was a good experience. Overall, I think both private and public have their advantages and disadvantages. Though in the end it depends on the individual schools. I hated my grammar/middle school but loved my high school.

That's interesting about the ghosts in Knebworth Hall. At least we know Richard's definitely not lonely when he visits there!

I hope this link works, it's the screengrabs from Floyd and Janice's scene with Muppets Go to the Movies (Awww!). You can't tell from those shots, but after Floyd kisses Janice, she looks all shocked and Floyd kinda nods at the audience as if to stoically say, "Oh yeah, I'm the man!" Lol

In my opinion, caligraphy, as a style of writing is growing rather archaic.
With keyboards replacing pens/pencils (Not fully...I mean..you get it, right?)like a wildfire and people are growing less capable of reading script with precision, it sets this lovely form of writing into the back of the shelf. Long ago, it was stressed that young people write with a certain aestheticness. I completely understand what you mean...

People come up and say "You write so pretty!"--ask them to read it...they can't.

It's a shame. ;_;

---

Omg, that is just adorable!
Janice DOES seem shocked!
I love how they cuddle in the last picture.
I wonder how Richard would have viewed the relationship...

It is a shame, many art and literary forms are getting lost. We've become very complacement to being ignorant in this country, heh (and I include myself here of course).

Well I imagine Richard and Jerry (since they often worked as a team) were glad the relationship came off well, the way it did for Jim and Frank's Kermit and Piggy. And Floyd and Janice really come across as two music buddies as well as lovers, which is great. And if you listen to Janice's first couple of appearances in the 2nd season, you can hear that Richard's still trying to figure out what the character should sound and be like. And there were a couple of episodes where she just didn't appear. So it was probably very satisfying when he finally got it down! ("Like can you get behind it?") :flirt:

Ugh, ok, now I'm wondering who Beaker could have been paired with! I blame you, BeakerSqueedom! lol

LOL!
Yes, blame me for my odd pairing.
When I first joined the forums, I had a thought of pairing Piggy and Beaker...
but good lord...
I scared myself!

LOL!

I think Beaker is the type to fly solo.
Now, if Bunsen were only a girl...

Lol, yeah I think that prospect would quite frightening to Beaker as well! Hasn't he suffered enough? ! Remember when he tried doing Piggy's hair in TMM?

Now I could see Mokey and Beaker working out. She's be a much more calming influence and appreciate him despite his "differences."

But then again no, I always wanted Mokey to end up with Junior Gorg (No, I'm not kidding!)

I DO remember--when Beaker tried his hardest to please her with the brushing of her hair, but Piggy is so rough with him. He just kind of cowers when she yells at him. But, I'd be scared of that mad lady pig, too!

I also don't think of Beaker capable of being in a relationship.
You see, I view one of Richard's most popular character, Beaker, as an...innocent, insecure, slightly witty, and the one who suffers the most type of muppet---that makes him the type to shy away from relationships, but it'd be cute. :stick_out_tongue: Muppets are so fun...

LOL!
Mokey and Junior...?
WOW!

Actually...

that cuts the cake.

They do seem fit for eachother.

*Melts*

Hmm, Beaker and Mokey...
That'd be strange!

Yeah that does make sense. We speculated awhile ago that that perhaps Beaker represented a side of Richard where he felt misunderstood and unable to communicate. And that we thought Mokey's song "Ragtime Queen" seemed to echo the puppeter's relationships with their characters.

Lol, well I think I got the idea that it could work after the 3rd season episode "Great Radish Caper" when Mokey realizes how lonely Junior is, but still capable of loving something. Mokey's just always so nice and motherly and understanding, yet she knows how to put Junior in his place ("You almost hit Wembley! ::Bonk:: ) Plus she's one of the few Fraggles who ever tries to identify with him, such as when she realizes he got cheated in "Junior Sells the Farm" and when she speculates that "that big Brown one kinda likes us" in "Bored Stiff."

I'm not saying there's any big romantic tension at that moment, but I do think there's potential there, lol. Now true, there would be a slight em...size difference. But that's what Fraggle Rock is all about, right? ! And if worst comes to worst, they could always get the Trashheap to shrink Junior down again. The more I think about it, I think it could work! lol

(chuckle) Mokey and Junior? Truth be told, I'm more inclined to see the two of them as just being friends...but it is true, they do make a nice team on camera.
Truth be told, Mokey does seem to pair up well with Richard's characters. She gets along very well with Junior, as we've said, and then there was Beige in "Fraggle Wars." And during the wrap video, of course, we saw her interact with Richard himself:

Mokey: Uh, excuse me, Mr. Hunt...
Richard: (crooning) Yes, Mokey...

Sorry to hear you're under the weather, Sara. As for me, I'm just tired and nervous and ragged from my gargantuan end-of-semester workload, which explains why I've been out of the loop a bit of late. I hate finals.
One bright spot over the weekend, though - yesterday, Mom and I saw a large display of AIDS quilt blocks. It was her first time seeing the quilt, and we were both impressed.

Aww yeah, the "Fraggles Look for Jobs" clip, which has unfortunately been removed from youtube. I really hope they put it on the last Fraggle DVD (though if they just keep talking about Richard, that would be great too!)

Yeah I wish they had gone back to Fraggle Cave at some point. "Fraggle Wars" is an excellent episode, but I felt some things were a little confused. Like on the one hand the plot seemed to say the only difference between Fraggle Rock and Cave was that the inhabitants had difference senses of humor. However, there was also an implication that Cave was more dictatorial and restrictive than Rock, but that concern was kinda dropped when they instead focused on tolerating difference senses of humor.

I guess what I'm saying is, the writers didn't seem sure if they wanted the Fraggle Rock characters to protest a dictatorial system, or simply tolerate a different kind of community. Just some friendly constructive critiquing. And of course, the world is a complicated place.

Good luck with finals, MN! And that's great that you got to see some of the quilt. Any thoughts on the experience?

Thoughts on seeing the quilt...well, it was really cool to see all the different artistic styles in the panels, and to see what each person's interests were...but on the other hand, it was sad to realize that for each panel, someone had to die.

I agree; it would have been fun to revisit Fraggle Cave, and maybe see what Beige and the others went on to. For one fan fic, I was thinking of writing a "security Fraggle's logbook," which basically describes everything in "Fraggle Wars" from Beige's point of view.

One thing about the subject matter; I guess we were kind of seeing it through Mokey's eyes, and we only saw a little bit of what went on in the Cave. I guess, to get a fuller picture of what the Cave was like, it'd have required a few more episodes.

Cool, definitely I would try that. I've occasionally toyed with the idea of Mokey and Beige keeping up a correspondence afterwards. I also wonder what the Cave Fraggles thought of the Doozers when they were living in the Rock years before, hmm. This is so much fun, lol!

You notice that, especially in Fraggle Rock, Richard was often relied upon to play the characters that particularly required dramatic acting ability? I guess because he was so able to get inside a character and become that personality.
