Yeah that's the one where The Wild Impresario comes up with a song, but he needs to figure out how he's going to write the tune down in order to remember it. He runs into all these different musicians (as they usually did at Faffner Hall) who show him different ways of writing down music. All the while, he's trying to keep away from the show's villian Farkas who is trying to make him forget the song.

Hehe, he's in his bathrobe because he was in the tub when he first came up with the song. One of my favorite parts of the episode is where he tries to blend in with the babies to hide from Farkas.

Hi, Skeeter Muppet, nice to see you again.

Yeah, I've read about James Taylor's appearance on Ghost of Faffner Hall before. Might have been Muppet Wiki. And it sounds like the episode was good fun for both Richard and James; I can definitely see the two of them chatting and shooting the breeze in between takes.

Looks like James and the Muppets go back a bit; he was on an episode of SS with his daughter at one point, I think.

Yes... He did show up on the street, singing "Jellyman Kelly". It's included in the Old School DVD set, not sure where though.

I believe this is the part where this exchange took place:

Morley Safer: Those jokes and some of those God awful puns with...

Richard: Human beings wouldn't work.

Morley Safer: Human beings wouldn't work...

Richard: It's because the characters are so, well Lew, look at Lew's hair. Now I have seen someone in New York with hair like that, but..." Lol

Richard definitely owns every moment he has in this interview. To me, when I watch it, it's like he's saying "This is our territory, we're inviting you in but you have to respect it. We're a little crazy, but we like it that way."

Note Beaker in the front; Richard kept trying to get his litte red-headed friend in the shot throughout the interview. lol

That's okay, you can certainly tell who's who. And to tell the truth, it looks kind of like an Impressionist painting or something.

Richard's sitting a little bit in the back, but it's clear that he's kind of the alpha wolf in the pack there. Perhaps it was his job to keep Morely (or Morley?) from getting too patronizing.

I like the idea of Richard having Beaker and his other Muppets follow the interview along.

Yes exactly, the Alpha Wolf of the pack. Yeah, they did kinda need it. Morley was great but he couldn't stop laughing throughout the whole Piggy segement. It was like "Oh come on, get over it!" But then again, the others didn't seem to mind that much, lol.

Dave doesn't talk for himself in the interview but he does such a good job with Beauregard. One of my favorite parts is when Morley suggests that two characters like Fozzie and Beauregard wouldn't work well together because they're both fairly slow witted.

Beauregard: He means we don't...solve problems. Yes slow, deliberate!

Fozzie: As long as you don't say I'm not funny I don't care!

In the end, it didn't even matter how much they individually spoke. The best part of the interview is seeing the performers laughing with and at each other (I've always liked Dave's smile to be honest, hehe). It's clearly something very familiar and comfortable.
