The Toy Collector magazine article about the Christmas Carol Muppets had several points I found really interesting. It's a short article that is worth reading.

- NECA is considering the Palisades line with their character selection - trying to do new characters and different variants in addition to the popular characters.
- Bob and Tiny Tim are being released as an individual set instead of a full wave of Christmas Carol figures, but it sounds like NECA plans to release another set every Christmas (at least, Gonzo and Rizzo for 2027)
- Sales of Super Grover and Big Bird have been good - giving the line momentum to keep going
- Big Bird, Oscar, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo are all supposed to come out this year.
- NECA will likely only have a couple of new Muppet items to show at SDCC this summer.

I hope we see final versions of Piggy and Gonzo and hope they're revised and not the same sculpt. I was hoping we would get the Snowths and Manah Manah this year, though.

For the MCC figures, I hope we see at least 3 sets. Kermit and Robin, Gonzo and Rizzo, Piggy and Bean. Fozzie would be nice, but his role in the movie was limited so I can understand if they don't get to him.

Eh, I might think Piggy as Emily Cratchit might be better paired having Betina and Belinda Cratchit as her pack-ins instead of Bean Bunny. Maybe pack Bean as the Dickensian youth with Fozzie as Fozziwig as a viable alternate. Just hope we get the Christmas ghost trio somewhen down the road.

As for the main line, I'd expect to hear Wave 1 release dates potentially at SDCC and maybe Wave 2 announced as well. My thoughts lead me to think Kermit and Robin 2-pack, Fozzie Bear and Irving Bizarre? 2-pack, and then whichever character Palisades never got to making as the third entry.

I agree with everything you said. I'm guessing that NECA didn't want to start out their Muppets line with Mahna Mahna and the Snowths, even though their sculpts look ready, because they want a bigger character or two out first. In addition to updated (and hopefully final) sculpts of Piggy and Gonzo, I hope NECA shows a couple of new characters. My guess is Rizzo and Fozzie.

Those 6 MCC characters seem like musts. I'd love to get the ghosts, too. I'd buy any MCC figures NECA makes, even Joe and the three characters selling Scrooge's stuff.

I’m hoping Mahna Mahna & the Snowths haven’t fallen into Herry purgatory due to the fur sculpts. It’ll be interesting to see what they show at Comic Con, I have a feeling they have a few prototypes sculpted but aren’t going to show them all so they don’t have a Sesame situation again where they’ve showed off all these figures but barely any of them are out yet.

Fozzie definitely has a shot of being revealed & i also thought Irving Bizzarre would be a good pack in for him with them basing it on the early seasons. Personally I’m hoping Rowlf gets revealed I mean they already have the piano  ( bonus points if he comes if Baskerville or Gaffer)

Regarding Gaffer, I remember Ken saying that they got the dimensions wrong and the Palisades figure came out more like a kitten than an actual cat. Thing is, if Gaffer had been the right dimensions, would the figure be able to fit on the small ledge next to the Theater Backstage playset's staircase as well as the smaller version does? :curious:

Whenever Mahna Mahna and the Snowths get released, that's when I'll purchase them because that's just one of the various entries that's gotten me as excited for this line as I am for the Ultimate Sesame line.

The cards at Toy Fair had Piggy Q1 '27, Gonzo Q4 this year, and Mahna Mahna this year with the quarter blocked... apparently that has already changed.

Rowlf is extremely ideal: maybe the most-beloved character, rare as heck in the Palisades line (in his regular form), and the upright piano is something Palisades didn't do either.

Did it have any pictures other than what was shown on the cover?

Its funny that they think Mupoet fans will be upset about getting this before a regular Kermit, but MCC has become one of the most recognizable Muppet properties after TMS with little merch to go with it. If they release 2 packs like this each year, or maybe 2 two packs, that would be a great yearly tradition for a couple years. We don't need every character, but at least the main ones would do well.

That Kermit also looks spectacular. The shape of the head is spot on, the expression is just right, the texture is subtle, the paint work is great, and hopefully they work in some great articulation. I can't wait to see what a normal Kermit looks like.

It would be great if they could get out 2 figures a month, alternating between Muppets and Sesame.
The Simpsons Super7 Ultimates debacle really fried things. I really think what killed that line was absurd picks like Robot Itchy and Scratchy opposed to variants of Homer and Bart, so it isn't really comparable. But people were complaining about stuff like Astronaut Homer over regular Homer, Marge and Lisa not even being released in any form, etc.

And also, that line wasn't meant to be a continuation of World of Springfield, like these Muppets are to Palisades.
