Dear Mr. Iger,
I have a proposal for The Walt Disney Company: to make a deal with The Jim Henson Company for Disney to transfer the Complete Series rights to "Fraggle Rock" from The Jim Henson Company to Disney's The Muppets Studio banner.
As part of Disney's "Fraggle Rock" acquisition (which shall be tentatively finalized in September 2020), Disney shall issue, for the first time EVER on Ultra 4HD, "Fraggle Rock: The Complete Collection," showcasing all 109 half-hour episodes (including the NBC Saturday-Morning Cartoon version airing from September 12, 1987 - September 3, 1988) of the hit '80s series "Fraggle Rock" 100% Complete, 100% Uncut, AND 100% Unedited, just the way each of the 96 Live-Action Episodes originally aired on the HBO Television Network from January 10, 1983 - March 28, 1988 for 4 seasons of 96 half-hour episodes.
Created by Jim Henson, "Fraggle Rock" centered on a group of creatures known as Fraggles who loved to play, sing and dance all day long. Gobo Fraggle (Jerry Nelson) was Leader of the Fraggles, whose uncle, Traveling Matt Fraggle (Dave Goelz), set out to explore "Outer Space," their term for the Outside World around them; Wembley Fraggle (Steve Whitmire) was Allergic to almost Everything in Sight; Boober Fraggle (Dave Goelz) a Scaredy-Cat; Red Fraggle (Karen Prell) the Athletic Fraggle; and Mokey Fraggle (Kathy Mullen), a Painter.
Living above "Fraggle Rock" was Inventor Jerome "Doc" Christian (Gerry Parkes) and his Beloved Dog, Sprocket (Steve Whitmire).
Interestingly, the Doc and Sprocket segments were different in each Country around the world--for example, in the original Canada/US Version on HBO, Doc was an Inventor, while in the UK he was an Innkeeper in England, and in France he was a Chef whose dog was named Croquet; many Dubbed "Fraggle Rock" episodes outside such countries used the original HBO Network version.
A year after the live-action "Fraggle Rock" ended its HBO run, Jim Henson, in early 1987, decided to give the Fraggles a 2nd life as a Saturday morning cartoon show airing on NBC for one full Saturday morning season in 1987.
Tentatively, Disney shall release, on Ultra 4HD, "Fraggle Rock: The Complete Collection" on September 29, 2020 in a Unique Boxset costing ONLY $59.99 wherever 4HDs are sold, 3 weeks after Disney's "Fraggle Rock" Acquisition shall become Complete effective September 8, 2020; for those who can't afford the Box Set, Disney shall also issue that same day, September 29, 2020, all 96 half-hour live-action "Fraggle Rock" episodes split into 4 seasons at a cost of $9.99 per season, as well as a cheap $9.99 Ultra 4HD of "Fraggle Rock: The Complete Animated Adventures," showcasing all 13 half-hour of the animated Fraggles.
Likewise, Disney shall issue the Ultra 4HD set under its ABC Studios banner.
Sincerely,
Steve Arino
