Another Thomas fear of mine I once had.
Percy's shut-eyed face.
Percy's shut-eyed face.
Well, kind of. I thought of that but I've also been a big fan of The Beatles for as long as I can remember and you can't deny that some of their later music was psychedelic and otherworldly, especially when they got into that weird phase of music inspired by Indian culture.I mean, it doesn't help that the background music is pretty creepy and psychedelic.
Did the needles eventually get cleaned up?As of lately, I've been a bit paranoid of entering through the front door of our local library because of a recent unsolved police investigation that happened there. The librarian discovered several used heroine needles strewn across the ground outside of the front door and called the police instantly. Unfortunately they still have no idea where those needles came from and so the same thing could happen again as far as we know right now.
Thankfully, yes. But the fact that the unknown culprit is still out there means that the same thing could happen again as far as we know.Did the needles eventually get cleaned up?
That's a good thing the needles got cleaned up.Thankfully, yes. But the fact that the unknown culprit is still out there means that the same thing could happen again as far as we know.
I didn't think it was creepy.I have a question:Why did this particular Sesame Street sketch freak me out so much as a child? I've watched it several times today trying to figure it out but I just can't put my finger on why I found such a completely innocent cartoon so creepy.
It's pretty much just a normal cartoon about the letter V. The only thing I could figure is the vampire which probably isn't the case though because vampires or any of the other traditional Halloween-type monsters such as mummies, werewolves, Frankenstein, etc. never bothered me in the least growing up. It was probably because I was a diehard Lilo and Stitch fan for the longest time and Lilo was obsessed with vampires and all that kind of stuff. I think hearing one of my favorite characters talk about vampires constantly kind of helped ease any fear I could've had of them.
But aside from that one thing, I can't find a single reason why this would've scared me and I'm starting to question whether or not my young self was just being a wuss this time. If anybody could help me figure out the mystery behind why turned this fun little animated short into childhood nightmare me fuel for me, many thanks would be appreciated:
All of my other childhood fears can at least be understood once properly explained. It doesn't take much to realize why I would've been freaked out by Alice Cooper, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, or The Beast just to name a couple of examples. THIS one on the other hand makes absolutely no sense to me.
