It's official I don't like the creepypasta stuff anymore......well, not for a while at least. The reason is that this morning, I heard some awful growling noises coming from the backyard. I went outside to investigate and saw a HUGE mean possibly rabid dog that almost attacked me before I zoomed right back into the house. Thankfully, the dog is gone now but the damage is already done. I'm literally traumatized by what I saw out there today so I don't think that scary stuff would be a good form of entertainment for me to indulge in at the moment. Those stories feature tons of disturbing uncensored material which could only make this whole traumatic memory situation worse. On the other hand however, I still enjoy dark comedy stuff like Happy Tree Friends, Robot Chicken, Family Guy, Wonder Showzen, Drawn Together, American Dad, etc. The reason why I think differently of those shows is because although they also deal with grim subject matter, they do so in a silly lighthearted way. To be honest, I consider dark comedy to be a coping mechanism during hard times. Seeing or hearing jokes about similar traumatic situations to the ones I'm into does nothing but help because it turns those bad memories into parodies. Seeing a Robot Chicken sketch about a rabid dog would be a great way to get over this, reading a creepypasta about one not so much.
