Technically No they don't. If they still had imput on the day to day decisions, and the two movies and the tv show then yes their opinion should be more important but they don't do that so they are allowed to have an opinion but its not more important than anyone else's

The Hensons have more right to an opinion on this than any of us.

Technically, yes they do. You can argue to the cows come home that they might not have had a lot of input lately, but they're still Jim's family, owned the characters for a significant length of time before Disney bought them and know Whitmire better than anyone on this forum does, correct? So I think what they have to say is far more valid than the guesswork and sometimes biased assumptions we see here.

Yes they are his family and yes they were his characters. Not theirs anymore. So I don't see how they are a getting involved the way they are doing. Considering the most puppet work the Henson company has done in the last 5 years was That puppet game show in the UK and have had no input on the Muppets since 2004

It's not all about commercialism and money. They grew up with their father as he developed Kermit The Frog and other Muppets. I'd say that gives them a little more insight on what Jim intended for the integrity of the characters than most others.
