1990: Gets the role of Kermit

2014: Matt Vogel plays Constantine in MMW, a character that's impersonating Kermit

2017: Gets the role of Kermit

Rizzo, we'll he's not gonna be the same now that Steve's gone. I just hope the next person will do just as good as Steve. He was THE Rizzo just like Dave Goelz is THE Gonzo.

With Steve's departure being with held till now, I am wondering, has anyone heard from Dave Goelz? Havent seen anything new of Gonzo for a while. Dave is the only old school puppeteer left! Hope he is still with The Muppets.

I saw him perform Waldorf recently. So don't worry. Besides I haven't really been seeing any of Bill's characters recently either.

Man, this is such a bummer. Even though I still prefer Jim's versions of his characters, Steve did a great job at performing them. I grew up hearing his voice as Kermit, Beaker, Statler, Ernie, etc. It would be so sad to see him depart from the Muppets. Anyway, I wish Matt luck and I hope he does a good job at carrying on Jim's legacy.
