Haven't read the article with all the movies listed... But I almost feel like this was a segment from the Colbert Report. Certainly has the same level of comedic antagonism as one of his bits.

Jon: Yeah, every time I think of the letter Z I think of you Stephen, always coming in last huh?
Colbert: You know what else starts with Z? Zvengeance! I will have my zrevenge!

Oh no! Curious George is bad for kids! He gets sent to the jungle! Quick, cover their eyes!

This list is the dumbest thing ever. Basically, anything that deals with death was put on this list. So, instead of teaching our kids about death in a non-violent way and easy to understand, we keep them away from it until they're ten years old? How stupid is this nonsense?

You know what? Some of these movies aren't even kids movies to begin with! MY DOG SKIP? GHOSTBUSTERS? BIG? GREASE? PARENTHOOD? AIRPLANE!? SIXTEEN CANDLES? FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF? Uh, none of those are kids movies, so there's really no business these movies should be shown to kids in the first place.
To be honest, unlike the other movies mention, Ghostbusters did have a cartoon series, breakfast cereal, and random other merchandise all aimed at kids. And I'm pretty sure the kids who saw it weren't phased by the ghosts or knew what the Keymaster bit meant. And those who did probably thought it was gross anyway.

Then again, there's always the Toxic Avenger movie turning into The Toxic Crusaders, and 3 of the last 4 Batman cartoons were inspired by those PG-13 Batman movies ( Batman TAS owes a lot to the Tim Burton movies while The Batman and Beware the Batman drew inspiration from the Nolan films).

If there's a "kids movie" that you really may regret showing to your kids, it's KANGAROO JACK - not only do all the trailers lie because the kangaroo has very little to do in the movie, but it really, truly is an adult movie that they attempted to water down slightly and throw in a few mediocre kangaroo scenes to market it as a kids movie.

The Oogieloves has none of that nasty scary stuff that this article points out. Yet I have the feeling that anyone who took their children to see that would still regret it.
Yeah. All five of them.

This is such a ridiculous list. Too many movies that are only on the list because a major character dies? I wonder if the Sesame Street episode where Mr. Hooper's death is explained be on the list if it included TV episodes as well.

*rolls eyes*Curious George really? How much more G rated does it get than that? The capturing scene isn't that scary! Ok I'll give them some of those like Ghostbusters but Beauty and the Beast?!

The inclusion of Old Yeller makes me think of that Anvilicious episode of the Cosby Show where Cliff forces that movie on little kids and then scolds them for watching a shallow parody of The Garbage Pail Kids.

Yeah... Having to shoot a dog is much less disturbing than gross kids eating boogers, right? Though the Garbage Pail Kids movie was disturbing in its own right.

Now, if there's one movie on that list I agree with, it's Annie. And only because the songs suck, Annie sucks and the guy who wrote the crappy comic strip was a complete d-bag.
