While browsing the internet to see if there was anything about the sequels yet, I stumbled upon pictures of the upcoming Oogieloves plush toys mentioned on one of the links here:

As for my thoughts, Schluffy looks cuter than she did in the movie. But for the Oogieloves themselves, what's with Zoozie's outfit, eyes and hair? She looks more like Ponyo cosplaying as Zoozie than the actual character.
I just do not see these selling no matter where they sell them. I just see lots and lots of Oogieloves dolls on deep discount clearance that still won't move. They are less horrifyingly ugly because they aren't the hulking, ugly beats with poorly moving eyes and mouths. Say what you will about Barney. At least he was visually appealing. I'd even venture to call him cute. Even these toys don't look that cute. The Pillow, maybe... if it didn't look stoned. But the Oogdolls look like those ugly generic things you'd find at an off brand, crappy greeting card store. The really UGLY kinds of plush that are thrown in the corner and no one pays attention to because they're always there.

And now there's an Oogieloves wiki, dear lord...
I'd dear lord too, but it looks like it's basically maintained by like a couple people. The mystery is who over the age of prenatal would actually make one.

It's 10 whole pages. Woohoo. I bet that's one Wiki that will soon be vandalized seven ways to Sunday.

Can a "Last Flight of the Champion" wiki be far behind?

For a movie that bombed harder than Delgo, they sure have a lot of merchandise.

Sadly, for a movie that deserves to be lambasted to heck and back, there's literally NOTHING on that film anywhere on the internet. Maybe if the film hits home video and Redbox. Even then, with Oogieloves, it was a major clustercrap of over-promotion and narcissistic overconfidence when the film flopped that gained the film's notoriety. Last Flight of the Champion is barely whispered among the internet. Not even so much as a small page on Wikipedia.

For a movie that bombed harder than Delgo, they sure have a lot of merchandise.
That was the point, or failure to see one on their part anyway. Ken Vesslemen is going to force Oogieloves down America's collective throats until kids actually like them. The movie was a disgrace on any level, and would barely make a dent as a DTV project, let alone a theatrical piece. Even as a TV show, I doubt it would get on a major network, be it PBS, Nick Jr. (the channel or the block), or Sprout. Qubo, maybe... but not for long.

Merchandise seems like another big ride to oblivion for the franchise that no one likes, even ironically... but Ken's just blindly egotistical enough to try and cram the planet full of something it doesn't want or care about.

As awful as the Oogieloves is, there are a lot of even worse, ugly, hideous, scary things out there. No denying they're freaking terrible and that no one cares to see any of those movies... but that Wizard hat and Bunny show? I'd say someone could make a creepy pasta out of it, but there's no way anyone could make that any scarier. That took several years off of my life right there.

Freakin' rabbit sounds like a serial killer with an unnatural obsession with Art Carney.

Only one thing could be worse than rabbits: Nickelodelon's Rabbids Invasion series.

Rabbits (the real ones, as distinguished from their animated counterparts) are usually cute, fluffy adorable creatures with twitchy noses and whiskers that are part of secular Easter holiday culture, and if left unattended, can reproduce like crazy.

Rabbids have sinister, creepy, goofy smiles with human teeth; rabbids are the type of mindless things capable of causing nightmare fuel, making you wonder "What is the point of all this?"

Each episode consists of boring gibberish and no storylines whatsoever; it's such an awful waste of time, that virtually no one in their right mind can understand it......

A Rayman cartoon would be better, but I see what they're going for here. I've watched a couple episodes and found it enjoyable, but not compelling enough to want to watch over and over. I guess I'd really need to be more of a Rayman fan to really get this. I prefer Gru's Minions instead, but I'd gather if they had a cartoon series, it would be very similar to this.

There actually was a CGI Rayman cartoon from 1999, but only 4 episodes were produced, and was never shown on American TV.

What do you think of the Angry Birds shorts? I personally enjoy them, and they work best as shorts considering the premise of the game.

They're cute. I've seen a few of them and I enjoy them. They're one of the cartoons based off of games that does keep the spirit of the game. Wouldn't exactly know about Rabbids, since I've never played it.

At least it's not a street fighting game about gang members that turns into a mediocre animated sentai show.

Back to the point of this thread... I've found another another stupid movie to react to. I went to see Thor 2, and while I was waiting for the film to start, I read one of those "coming attraction" pamphlets that they usually have lying around. Guess what? Remember that lovely grace period where we didn't have to worry about "parody" movies? Well... apparently there's something called "The Starving Games," which I can only think of being the same "let's reference everything we can in 90 minutes and look like a bad cable sketch comedy" film. Mainly because the description actually said that also included Harry Potter and The Avengers (as the movies are exactly the same plot line, right?) because "no one is safe." Yeah, no one is safe for toothless, unfunny, Big Lipped Alligator Moment style pop culture gags. Family Guy cut scenes are written with more depth and make more sense.
