Recording WAV audio on a Mac

I've had this problem and I can't find a solution really anywhere. Does anyone with Mac experience know a program or something that can record WAV files? I have one that works fine for mp3s, but any other thing (like Quicktime) won't record the computer audio for other formats or even at all. I'm on Mountain Lion (10.8.4), if that's any help.
