Does anybody know why on Two and a Half Men they had Jake join the army? For many years they had to work around child labor laws, and now that he's old enough that it's not a big concern anymore, they send him away, limiting his screen time further? And this happened before that little controversy where the actor complained about what the show has become.
And on That '70s Show, in the last few episodes of the seventh season, before Eric left they introduced Charlie, who appeared to become a replacement. He was going to be living at the Foreman's house while Eric was gone, and he was similar in appearance (and was perhaps a bit more pathetic than Eric)... Only for him to be killed off in the season premiere. So was Charlie killed off because fans didn't like him, or was his presence supposed to be some kind of tease (you think this new character is Eric's replacement? Well now he's dead, think again!), or was it something else?
