Here are some things I think The Jim Henson Company and The Hanna-Barbera Company have in common.

They both made cartoon history.

They were both bought by company's (like Warner Brothers and Disney).

They had voice actors like Mel Blanc, Daws Butler, Don Messick, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt.

Most of us grew up on there shows.

The Muppets are like The Flintstones and the Jetsons.

They have crossovers (Like the Flintstones Meet The Jetsons and A Muppet Family Christmas).

That's very true bhs. Even the cartoon bit. At first I thought cartoons? but then there was Muppet Babies plus an animated re-make of Fraggle Rock

They were both remarkable entertainment-producing companies.
Still are in their own right, of course.
