...and since a few of you here seem to be afficionados of musicals, what parts in what musicals would you cast the Muppets in?

For instance, I'll use "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat."

Joseph - Scooter (anyone surprised? Anyone?)
Narrator - Janice or Annie Sue
Jacob - Pops, or either Statler or Waldorf.
The Brothers - Kermit (Reuben), Fozzie, Gonzo, Rizzo, Floyd and Zoot, Pepe, Semour, Rowlf, Clifford (Judah *cringes*) and Bean (Benjamin)
Potiphar - Sam the Eagle
Potiphar's Wife - Piggy
Pharaoh - An anything Muppet that does a good Elvis impression.

So? Anyone else have any suggestions/ideas? Think I'm full of you-know-what?

They have made this into a topic so often it should be an FAQ........ ANYWAY!!!! I'd like to see a Muppet version of Annie. Piggy with red hair hopping in peoples' laps seems too hilarious to bear.

OMG! Have you ever seen the musical of Jekyll and Hyde? Personally, I'm not a big fan, but we did do it @ my school and I was "Teddy", or in this case Herbert Savage. We made fun of that line all the time.

Let me see...

The Producers?... no, I don't think that would work...

Hedwig and the Angry Inch?... WOAH... absolutely not!

How bout... The Lion King? I know that's a kind of cheap choice, but it's all I can think of right now.

Young Simba: Robin
Older Simba: Scooter (can't you see the resemblance?)
Mufasa: Kermit
Hyenas: Animal, Crazy Harry, and Bunsen Honeydew.
Scar: Sweetums
Timon: Rizzo
Pumbaa: Gonzo
Mufasa's Wife (can't remember the name): Miss Piggy
Nala: Skeeter
Zazu: Pepe

How about Oliver?

Oliver - Boy acter
Doger - Gonzo, with Rizzo as a friend
The Old man who adopts Oliver (he is slightly younger in this version) - Kirmet,
The person who owns the house Oliver burgles (she isn't in the film but she is in the book) Miss Piggy.
Fagen - Um Uncle Deadly? Sweetums? ???

Any thought?

why not?

you get Fozzie to play Max to Scooter's Leo, have Janice play Ula, and toss in the grannies for "Little Old Lady Land"

and what? you can't see Kermit in a platinum blonde wig singing "The Origin of Love"? they could even use the Kermit from The Swamp Years for the flashbacks to show the mom throwing tomatoes(? it's been ahile since i watched it) while he was singing with his head in the oven...

hmm...maybe you're right...

I'm not sure how well "Angry Inch" would fare if Kermit was singing...
