Over the next few months (what with the UK and USA toy fairs) the licensing program for Sesame Street is going to be expanded, with various announcements of new toys and apparel for 2008. This is mainly being managed by CPLG, who run Sesame licensing in Europe. The licensee companies that will be producing new items are (for toys) Re:creation, Worlds Apart and Gund - plus (for apparel) Blues, Bravado, Cooneen and Fabric Flavors. CPLG will also be introducing new publishing and social expression in youth areas and possibly a new line of retro stationery.
Also the new Claymation series "The Adventures Of Bert and Ernie" is reportedly coming along nicely and will air around March 2008. They have made the first series and a second season has already been commisioned for March 2009. It's being made mainly for UK/Europe, and no USA TV deal has been announced but it's looking like there could be a USA direct to DVD release by Genius Products. Greg originally announced this for MC and his Newsflash this time last year but some images from the actual show were shown on another animation site but seemed to get missed here so you can see them at the bottom of this link -
