Hi there,

I am a Primary School Teacher and I would really love to do some of the Muppets Christmas Carol songs for Christmas with the choir this year.

I have seen on the site that there is a score available and I wondered if you knew where I could get it from - I live in the UK, so anything over here that doesn't cost twice as much as the actual score (which has happen before) would be great. I would also love to know if there was an accompanying CD/tape soundtrack backing thingy for them to sing to, as I find it hard to play the piano and teach them to sing the songs (especially with the darling little horrors I teach! ) at the same time.

Any info would be greatfully recieved.

Thanks.

Jen

P.S. Lovin' this site. Glad I found it.

Are you looking for the sheet music? Amazon's UK site has a listing that looks like it might meet your needs: link
It doesn't specifically say that it's sheet music, but at the bottom of the page under "similar books by subject" is lists "songbooks - general," so it should be a safe assumption. If not, you could always return it.

I did an ISBN lookup and found some more :-

> Matching folio featuring 11 new Muppet carols and 8 pages of color photos!

>Contents
Bless Us All
Chairman Of The Board
Christmas Scat
Finale - When Love Is Found/It Feels Like Christmas
It Feels Like Christmas
Marley And Marley
One More Sleep 'Til Christmas
Room In Your Heart
Scrooge
Thankful Heart
When Love Is Gone

It seems to have all the chords and piano accompaniments - you can find more technical details on it and buy it (although not sure whether it works out cheaper than from the UK) here :- http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store...art=32435274512545954&searchtitle=Sheet Music

Yes, I was after the sheet music, sorry for not making it clear enough!

Thank you all so much, you are complete stars! Big virtual hugs are being sent your way!

I still have the problem of playing it on the piano while teaching the singing monsters. Do you think that if I contact amazon and other such people I could find out if there was a backing tape ever made?

I am trying to think of other music specialists that might know... but my brain doesn't work all that well after 10pm. Sad, but true.

Anyway, even if I can't find the tape (I may just buy the soundtrack CD anyway) I will be able to have the sheet music! Thanks again. You have been a huge help to me.

It's great to see so many Ukers here! We should campaign for more muppets on the BBC you know. It's slightly more cheerful than EastEnders.

There was never a backing track available for the Muppet Christmas Carol songbook, although Hal Leonard Publishing did release accompaniment tracks for several choral arrangements of songs from the film they released around the same time. I believe that the only selections available in this form were Bless Us All and It Feels Like Christmas (I'm not sure which filing cabinet I have the choral pieces stored in, so I'll have to double check.)
I hope this helps!

They are actually the two songs that I wanted to do! He clearly read my mind. So would the tracks still be available now or was it just something that was done at the time? Sorry to be a pain!

Erm... I wouldn't wish that upon anybody! Parents love it because of the single reason that their child is in it!

Hang on where's my possitive attitude?? It will be wonderful!
