I think if I had just heard the song, it wouldn't have scared me, but hearing the song by itself after seeing it on S.S. freaked me out. As a matter of fact, it took me a while to be able to sit through an entire episode of S.S. without freaking out because I thought that segment was going to come on!

Not really scared, but I think a little annoyed. I was never a big fan of the song. And I was more irritated to see the angry faces than scared.

I also found the song and its visuals to be a bit intimidating as a kid, but I wasn't scared outright. That said, this is one of my favorites.

"The Word is No" is great! I loved that song as a child. I still love listening to it on my "Platinum Too" album!

I very clearly remember seeing this song on Sesame Street. Don't remember anything about it being frightening- it was just cool- especially since the music was a great 80s style pop/light rock music.
 :sing:
