:halo: In this tribute, I raise a glass to good ol' Bip. He was zany, he was crazy, he was a riot to watch, and I loved him! (especially when he did Manuh Manuh!) He also did other classics like "Fat, Cat, Sat, Hat", and "Air". But other than these, I don't think they gave him much of a chance to get off the ground. For years after the first few seasons I didn't see him on the show at all. Then when The Muppet Movie and show came out, I could have swore I saw him being portrayed as "Animal" and got all excited for nothing, because the moment I heard Animal start to "talk" I knew it wasn't him. (Does anyone out there know who originally did do his voice? It would be interesting to find out.) Anyway, heres to you, Bip! You brought alot of good times to my childhood and I miss you lots!

I love Mahna-Mahna!

I even made myself a puppet of him you can find here:

Song: Mah Na Mah Na
Henson character: Mahna-Mahna
Sesame character: Bip Bipadotta
Jim Henson kept Mahna and Bip seperate in look and style of puppet because he wanted to keep the commercial Muppets away from the educational Sesame Street Characters.

I like your artwork Kev, but was insulted when I read the part "Down with Democrats".

Bit of Trivia

Did you know that the tune to "Mahnu Manuh" was originally the opening tune to "The Red Skelton show"?

Did you not notice that EVERY political branch was mocked in that? I hate politics, so that's why Muley was starting his own party. There was even a Q&A that was associated with that (now lost in the vast CD back-ups I have) where people were asking Muley about his views and political stances on things like Furs, "Ain't no skin off my back!" Guns, "I think they should be outlawed and anybody caught with one gits shot!" Just stupid stuff like that.

Thanks for liking the art!!

It was originally written by Peter Umilioni for a documentary.

I actually wrote a big article about it and sent it to a cool site Backstage Left, but it never got used, so I forwarded it on Phillip and...haven't seen it yet.
