Thursday morning watch the Sesame Street Muppets at The 98th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This will be the 50th year that Sesame Street has made an appearance.

The parade begins at 8:30 am eastern on NBC and Peacock. Sesame Street's appearance is scheduled for approximately 11:00 am eastern, 10:00 am central when the float reaches 34th Street Herald Square.

The Sesame Street Muppets and cast will be joined by Disney Legend and Tony winning actress and singer Lea Salonga. She also appeared in Sesame Street Season 25.

Please note, the parade may be delayed up to two hours in your time zone, so be sure to check local listings for accurate start times. Also in some markets, NBC will be re-airing the parade in the afternoon so check local times for broadcasts in your area.

CBS is not broadcasting the parade this year, so I won't be watching on NBC until it's close to when the Sesame Street float will be presented. It's too bad, because CBS provided better parade coverage for the most part, compared to NBC now treating the musical performances and the Radio City Rockettes as bigger events to the point where they don't tell you which balloons or floats are new. (I know the Rockettes have been an important part of the parade since 1957, but even so...)

Darn, I missed the "Sesame Street" float! It apparently came on much earlier than Phillip predicted.
I know I've been having bad luck this year, but even so...

The float was likely shifted earlier due to the rain this morning. NBC reairs the parade in the afternoon for anyone who might have missed it. It will also likely appear on YouTube soon as well.

It came on at around 9:00-9:30 or something, but I found a video of the appearance if anyone’s wants to watch it.

You know, I always watch the parade waiting for the Sesame Street float. And despite hearing/identifying  and Tango along with Lea Salonga, my thought was "did the cast just send the puppets and decide not to show up this year"? Because I really didn't hear any character voices other than just Elmo and Tango. *Shrugs.

I gotta agree with you on how you can’t really hear any of the other characters voices but around the 0:34 mark you can faintly hear Rosita say something in Spanish, so I think maybe some of the puppeteers showed up at least.

I know I'm late to the party here, but Julia's performer, Stacey Gordon, posted various pics and such of her with Julia in the parade yesterday on her IG. And I know Noel MacNeal performed Big Bird.

Also, off the topic a bit, but can we give kudos to Big Bird's umbrella holder? That couldn't have been easy having to hold that for so long, but she did great!

To clarify, I'm not saying the puppeteers "didn't" show up to perform. I'm just saying it "didn't sound" that way as the only characters that could be heard were Elmo, Tango, and Rosita for the token Spanish words from "Sing".

I'm really happy they are in the parade since I feel like sesame street is left out nowdays when it comes to children tv shows since theres so many new shows like Ms Rachel, Blippi (WHO SHOULD NOT BE MAKING CONTENT FOR CHILDREN), bluey, I can go on and on.
