I ordered it through Amazon.com Saturday night for $10.99 US (about $20 CDN). I'm glad that most of the reactions have been positive. I can't wait to watch it! Amazon said it should arrive sometime betweeen Oct. 3-8.

Hey Prickle, where's a Cinema 1 store? $19.99 is the lowest price of heard for this so far.
Someone told me they saw it at DVD Wave for $23.99.

Wow, this DVD is so great! A nice li'l charmin' addition to your Muppet collection!

Thanks to muh pal John, this DVD literally came right to my doorstep, and it was so terrific---what a great idea to release it!

Though I agree with others when I say, why couldn't they have dropped the "s" and just called it "Muppet Magic"?

Oh, well---it's the content that counts! :zany:

Hey, I just noticed something...

Remember those references that stated that Ed Sullivan, when introducing the Muppets for the first time, he said "Jim...uh, Newsom's puppets"? It's mentioned in a few articles, and maybe "The Works", but I'm not sure.

Anyway, that's what Ed said...but they recorded over his voice for the DVD with "Jim Henson's Muppets". Look at the intro to the "Rock and Roll Monster" segment. Ed mouths "Jim Newsom's puppets", but the audio says "Jim Henson's Muppets". It's easier to see this if your DVD player has a zoom in feature. Anyone else catch this?

That's right. Ed's audio in several places has been edited here and there.

Jamie,

Great customized cover! Is the text from the actual back of the Sullivan DVD, or did you write all that up?

I took the text from the original back cover and rewrote it a bit. They aren't really my words. Just some slight editing.

I printied it out last week and it looks just fine in the sleeve. It actually makes me feel differently about the disk itself. The original was just so cheesy. :stick_out_tongue:

You've got that right. The DVD looks creepy in my shelf. Next to it are all these professional-looking things then theres this ridiculous red and blue thing that looks like someone made in like 30 seconds

Glad you made that; I'll definately be printing it off when I find my glossy paper.

One of my favorite sketches is the Rock 'N' Roll Monster. He's cute! It made me wonder how many puppeteers worked on him. 3 heads, 2 feet, 2 guitars (4 hands?) and one drum (one hand). Looks like at least 4 puppeteers...that's amazing. How did they coordinate all of that? And was he built in one piece? Food for thought...
