LOL! Oh, yes.

Man, Oz and Henson had such GREAT Ernie and Bert Chemistry, huh?

I think I officially put Bert and Ernie in the list with other great comedy teams as Burns and Allen, Abbot and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis, and Chocolate and Vanilla.

Okay, so the last team was ice cream in my mind, but I'm hungry.

There's too many to pick 1 favorite. Most of my favorites occur in their apartment.

1) Ernie is the fastest cleaner. He does anything for some cookies & ice cream!

2) The Rhyming Song/Game

3) Who stole Bert's cookies (was it Ernie or someone who looked like Ernie)

4) Ernie & Bert eating Peanut Butter Sandwiches

5) Ernie & Bert eating Pizza

6) Bert's Nap

7) La La La La ....Lemon.

8) Ernie & Bert at the Movies (the lady with the big hat)

9) Ernie & Bert building a pyramid w/ blocks - The count takes them apart

10) Ernie & Bert at the beach. Someone steals an Ice cream cone I think (a bully).

That's all the favorites I can think of at the moment.

Hmmm. I'll go with "The Rhyming Game," "Dance Myself to Sleep" and the one where Sherlock Hemlock finds Bert in a pile of sand.

I agree that there's too many to pick one favorite, but I will list some of the ones I really like.

Ernie Plays the Drums
Ernie Puts the Vase Away
Ernie Dusts the Shelf
The Electric Fan
Snack with Pizza and Grape Juice
Ernie Counts Fruit
Light & Heavy Game
Song - I Wish I Had A Friend To Play With Me
Ernie imagines that Bert ran away from home at night
Ernie draws bert with hair, glasses and a beard
Bert uses a magnet to pick up paper clips
One and One Make Two (song)

And I'll think of some more later.

I like the bit while Ernie tries to wait for Bert to finish reading his newspaper in order to ask him a very important question. He tries to be quiet and think about Bert's feelings, but he is very noisy doing other things like singing and talking to Rubber Duckie. Eventually Bert gives in and tells Ernie to just ask the question.

"Bert.... can I borrow your newspaper?"

bert & ernie singalong

not actually a sketch on the show....but a record album. (anyone have a copy on cd??)

it's a classic where bert is in the tub trying to take a relaxing bath and somehow :stick_out_tongue: ends up in the bathroom and starts a singalong...by the end of the album, most of the residents of SS are in the bathroom singing...

bob loved the acoustics of the bathroom!!

meanwhile, poor :frown: (still in the tub) keeps asking for a towel!

it's a riot!

I love that album! The whole thing! Now, was it ever on the show? GeeBee says it was, but I don't know for a fact. Does anyone else remember it?

my fave ernie/bert scene

Wow, my favorite sketch with Ernie and Bert?
It's close because I love any scene with those crazy aliens that always appeared when Bert made oatmeal. *sniff*
That's why I always felt connected with Bert, I love oatmeal too. And pigeons! :frown:

Anyhoo, my most favorite scene has to be from "Follow that Bird".
Well, actually the entire movie is funny with them, but mostly when they're flying in the plane upside down and singing. Too funny!!
I love them guys! :stick_out_tongue: :frown:

My favorite ones were the ones where the apartment floods.

My question, is why were the writers show obsessed with showing Ernie and Bert drowning?
oh come on!
