I'm home!
And I had such a great time in NY! I went to see my older niece (she's 7) and her mom on the 7th.My niece had a dance recital on Saturday.She did a great job!There were different groups that performed.I gotta say,though,the choice of music for some of the kids was pretty inapprpriate.I can't exactly say what I mean (since this is a family forum,you know) but a couple of the songs raunchy titles & lyrics! WHAT WERE THE KIDS' TEACHERS THINKING?
)
So Sunday was her gymnastics recital.She did wondeful there too,but I'm telling you all my heart was practically leaping out of my chest every time she did a flip,balance beam or any other type of gymnastics move.Good thing she's so limber!
After the recital,my brother drove me & my mom to where he,my sister in law (and now my baby niece
) live. FINALLY I got a chance to see my little baby niece! WHAT A LITTLE SWEETIEPIE SHE IS! *insert Grover adorable icon here.She was happy most of the time but there were a few times when she was Little Miss Crankybug. That's OK though.Hey..she's almost 3 months old.She's entitled to be cranky! She LOVES to be sung to! So when I was with her today I was singing to her.When I stopped,she looked at me like "More,Aunt Kaffy! Don't stop!" I sang a few SS songs to her.
Almost forgot! She has lots of curly hair,big blue eyes & a smile that could make you melt! I SO wish I could post pics of her & me Online ,but her parents (and my mother) wouldn't be too happy. So I guess I need to deal with it.
I'm going back a month from today for her baptism.Can't wait!
