I volunteered at a middle school this past school year and the students used the word swag to describe anything, from not having homework to clothing to songs to us volunteers, so that's where I'm getting a lot of this from.

I think it can mean that too, but the meaning has definitely broadened. It's reached the point where the word can basically mean whatever the user wants it to mean (which probably means that the word has no meaning in the end).
Isn't that happens with a lot of words in the English language? :stick_out_tongue:

All I know about "swag" is that my cousin once said that he leaves the label on the bill of his cap for swag. So I'm assuming in that instance it's kinda to look cool?
