I hope so. The message of recycling and taking care of environment is a great message especially in the United States. It could also modernize it and explain some confusing things about the show. Why there is only one female living in them ? Why Orinoco doesn’t have a girlfriend? A origin story of how these wombles came to be and why they are living in Wimbledon?

Wombles are brown, their mission in life is to pick up litter. Apparently they are about to bring them back.

Really? Wow...I can't imagine modern Wombles...Heavens, I hope they dont make them hip. I never liked the Womble movies with people inside Womble costumes, but I used to love the Womble series. Fun, subtile, weird humour.
