I think there was probably an old thread about this but I hate to try and search and bump something that old...

Wicked-
Has anyone read the book, seen the musical, or just a really huge fan of the soundtrack? I have been a fan of the soundtrack since back in early 2004 but have yet to see the show. I read recently that the run in Chicago has been extended once again through the middle of April. This could be a definite possibility for me to see the show.

I've also read the book and am looking forward to some day finding the time to read the sequel which was just released last week.

Any other fans?

**waves, then points at self** Me, ooh, me, major fangirl, right here. I LOVE the soundtrack!!

Haven't seen the musical (YET), but if I'm not mistaken it's coming to Toronto, so I'm going to try and get tickets.
Haven't read the book yet either, but my friend just bought it, so when she's done I'm going to be reading it.

But as I said, I am a HUGE fan of the soundtrack. It's actually pretty sad. I had to stop listening to it (and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) because all I would do is go around singing the songs all the time.

I've heard some of the songs and like them. Would definately think about seeing it if I was in New York, after Avenue Q of course.

I was going to mention, although it's already been done, that the sequel to Wicked is "Son of a Witch." It's on shelves now, 20% off at Bookstar here in Memphis.

Just a warning to fans of Wizard of Oz, though: It does not correlate properly with the real books by Baum, Thompson, and a few others after them.
