Why was Oscar orange and then green?

Yeah, Oscar just didn't look right in orange. Was Grover really brown? Does anyone have a picture?

Actually, at the Hicklebee's book signing in SJ, Caroll answered that question differently: he said that after the first season was done taping, Oscar took a vacation to Swamp Mushy Muddy. When he came back, he was green, and he's been that way ever since. :big_grin::crazy:
