^Right. They tried to get The Beatles. They couldn't get 'em, unfortunately.

I wonder if they could have gotten the whole band for The Jim Henson Hour or Muppets Tonight. Both shows frequently featured appearances by multiple humans in addition to the guest stars, and the episode Power even featured an entire band (The Nylons).

Muppets Tonight had a lot more celebrities per episode than The Jim Henson Hour (which usually had one guest and the other humans were unknown actors), but that show never had a whole band.
