Some adults today seem to have issues with the show because it led to behavior problems, such as inappropriate giggling, and mimicking certain behaviors, by the time they discontinued watching. Examples of such behavior stemmed from certain Muppet characters yelling (including one segment where Cookie Monster visited the library and badgered the librarian, insisting he wanted cookies), and other slapstick stunts. Today's adults don't seem to appreciate the modern era of the show because they praise the segments with slapstick elements, many of which are politically incorrect today. Animated segments from the "golden age" have disappeared, possibly because of rights issues, and/or the voice actors or artists having passed away, and their estates refused to clear them for broadcast. I really am glad some of the animated segments have disappeared, such as "Scanimate Films #10" and "Y for Yawn", but those were due to sensitivity issues linked to my autism (and the former segment appears to be creepy). According to Muppet Wiki, it's possible the final appearance of "Scanimate Films #10" was in February 1992 - someone please clarify?
