I do like Tony the Tiger myself... but frankly, much as I like Tony, Toucan Sam and Snap Crackle and Pop, I think General Mills had a much more impressive line of characters... Sonny the Bird, Trix Rabbit, the short lived Apple Cinnamon super heroes... and, even though it's before my time, I'm loving the The Banana Wackies Gorilla
I love the cast of General Mills cereal mascots much more than Kellogs or post myself. Like as I mention the monster theme cereals, especailly Boo Berry.

Hands down for me? Tony the Tiger as far as cereals go. As far as generic brand name character mascots: Pop N' Fresh aka The Pillsbury Dough Boy

See, I never got the appeal of Tony the Tiger AT ALL. I've always loved Snap, Crackle and Pop (especially with their new elf-like designs) but my all time fav is Coco the MOnkey (I'd rather have a bowl of coco-pops!)

I don't know why I like Tony so much. I think it has partly to do with the fact that if he were a person I'd find him hot LOL I think tigers are beautiful animals, I love that his voice is the same guy who did all the singing in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and I just like the fact he's been around as long as he has. I LOVE retro Tony the Tiger stuff from the 50s, etc. I remember my great aunt had a cookie jar of an old Tony the Tiger head and I admired it greatly as a kid.

Beside the Swedish Chef you mean?

Well i loved the monster cereal mascots (Moreso Boo Berry and Count Chocula - Morgan Freeman's Dracula on the Electric Company always reminded me of him)

and i dearly miss Quisp (the cereal and the mascot)

For the most part they are pretty lame but I did enjoy Sonny and the Trix rabbit more than any of them I suppose. I think the concept just got a little tired with all of the characters wanting the cereal and the selfish mean kids keeping it away from them or stealing it from them. I always imagined a time when Sonny and the Trix rabbit teaming up and taking out those brat kids that wouldn't let them eat the cereal.

But I don't like Dig 'Em and I don’t like the contraction “apostrophe-EM.” As far as I’m concerned, his name is “Dig Them.” You’re not welcome here, Dig Them!

There are some mascots that I really don't like. I really hate the ultra agreeable Frosted Mini-wheats... I don't like how Buddy bears-like they are. What I miss was the Mini-Wheat who's sugar coated side kept arguing with it's more erudite, sensible side. I really liked that one where they had to become hotel maids because they only paid for a one person occupancy.

And I also hatehatehatehatehate (while they don't technically count as mascots) those IDIOTS for Raisin Bran Crunch. Especially the stupid fat one that says random stupid "Look! It's funny cuz it's awkward" and "this is how real people talk" bullocks.
