A slight correction. Rowlf the Dog has been around since at least 1963. The Swedish Chef, Dr. Teeth, and Waldorf all appeared before The Muppet Show came out in The Muppet Show: Sex and Violence in 1975.

Oh, also, Richard Hunt performed Janice plenty of times after 1981 (unless you meant 1991).

And David Rudman also performs Baby Bear.

Richard Hunt did not perform Sweetums after TMS, as far as I know (which would make that date be 1981 excluding movies and 80's specials and the like). Sweetums was performed by someone else (I can't remember off hand, but I don't think it was John Henson) for Jim Henson Hour and Cosby: Cliff's Nightmare. I also don't think Nelson performed Statler prior to Hunt's death... And you might as well add Dr. Julius Strangepork to Goelz, too.......

Yeah, and Frank performed Piggy until at least 2000. Also, did Matt Vogel really ever play Oscar the Grouch? I know he was Big Bird on Journey to Ernie and in a few talk show appearances, but I don't know if he ever played Oscar. According to imdb.com, John Tartiagola played Oscar in that 4D Sesame Street thing where Carroll Spinney wasn't available.

John Tartagalia is also listed as performing Hoots the Owl in one of the extra features on the What's The Name of That Song? DVD. I don't know if he did the voice or not, it just says in the credits that it's him because Kevin Clash was busy with Elmo.
