it's funny how those cartoons use to be shown on our local independent stations and now they're just on cable if at all. why is that? there was a Popeye Marathon on Boomerang around the Christmas holidays.

Did anyone catch the Popeye Christmas Special this season? It was all computerized and whatnot (is that what CGI is?) I only caught the final five minutes of it, but what I saw was a travesty: Popeye was with Olive Oyl, Sweet Pea and Wimpy and they were decorating the tree with none other than Bluto! And they were all getting along merrily!

Who own's the rights of the vintage Popeye cartoons :confused: You know,The ones from the 30's,40's,and the 50's.

Does Paramount own them?
