I just read at imdb.com, that this guy has been performing Ernie on "Sesame Street" lately. What happened to Steve Whitmire? I also read that he is performing Oscar on the Sesame Street 4-D thing? What about Carroll Spinney or Matt Vogel. Where did this new guy come from? Just curious.

And I think he only played Ernie once, didn't he? It's not a permanent recasting, anyway -- Ernie is still Steve's character.

And of course, Tartaglia is also one of the stars of the broadway musical "Avenue Q".

John Tartaglia is a really talented performer - I saw Avenue Q a few weeks ago and he was great in it. Actually all of the cast are. It's one of the best live shows I have seen in years.

Thanks for the information. I was sort of worried about that, since over the years Steve has gotten really good with Kermit and Ernie. I was hoping that they weren't recast or anything.
