Actually, I think Kermit was like that because he seemed to think the show didn't have much of a future at the start or because he was in a bad mood.
1. Uncle Deadly had physically abused him, then Kermit thought it had been George.
2. Floyd was being difficult about playing the catipillar and since he had acted like he was in charge of what he did in the past, Kermit decided to knock him down a peg.
3. The "Gone-fer" comment was a joke.
4. Piggy had been spreading lies, and the theater couldn't 'afford that.
5. Kermit may have been joking when he said "Either to tomatoe plant goes, or he does" when refering to Gonzo at the end of the Connie Stevens episode.
