I don't know what show this puppet was on other than maybe the muppet show itself, but there was a muppet who was kind of a big square block head with no body. I recall the voice being like Edward G Robinson. My recollection was it was like a tiki god or totem pole like thing. It wasn't one of those Easter Island Tiki head muppets but was similar.

Any suggestions?
