I think he came onto the show in the fifth season (but he was completely pink; they must've changed his face or dyed it a different color later on).

Now that I re-read it, it said he "appeared in the background", so maybe he was either in the auidience or in the background of the closing number, we can't just make him out.

Oh well. *shrugs* I personally think they should have had more monsters around backstage than Tom/Dick/and Harry.
