Indeed. Kids need to taught about death & other gruesome aspects of life nowadays, because--IMO--they're babied too much.
Take for example the transformation scene in Pinnochio, because the lesson it brought still rings true: You act like a jackarse (i.e. you are a jerk & you do immoral things) and you'll become a jackarse (i.e. your life goes downhill, considering you lose what matters: family, friends, a future, etc.).
Or better yet, the scene in Fun & Fancy Free's Mickey and the Beanstalk segment in which Donald--in his hunger-filled & depraved state of mind--becomes scary beyond normal Donald standards (he's eating plates, threatening to kill Bossy the Cow, and treating Mickey poorly just because the Mouse was tricked...but for good reason, that being to save Happy Valley).
