I read that Sesame Street moved to the Kaufman Astoria studio back in 1993 to accomidate the bigger space needed for the Around the Corner set. Does anyone know where it was shot before that?

The biggest reason the show moved was that Reeves Entertainment, who owned the Teletape Studios, went bankrupt in 1991 and shut down the studios. The site is now a Staples I believe.

On an interesting note, the Teletape Studios was originally an RKO movie theater during the golden age of feature films.
