Where to buy older episodes or a boxed set?

Is there anyplace where you can purchase older episodes of Sesame Street? Also, how about a boxed album collection of old Sesame Street songs?

The 1978 special "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" and the 1988 special "Put Down the Duckie" are both available on DVD. That's as close as you'll come right now to officially released classic episodes on DVD.

The picture was in the songbook with the CD/cassette for "Jim Henson: A Sesame Street Celebration".

I need to double check my cassette to see! I don't remember anything cool like that in there. That's the same recording with Big Round Nose and This Frog, etc, right? The picture on the front has Jim surrounded by his characters?

I like the box set - it's a terrific way to start a collection if you don't have one already. It's got a good mix of vintage SS and new celebrity songs. I also like the 25th Anniversary special - it's not an episode, but it has a good collection of clips and includes most of the characters.

The CD version of "Sesame Street Celebration" came with a little photo album that is, indeed, incredible - but those of us who could only find the cassete version aren't as lucky.
