Probably Canadian as I haven't had my passport renewed in some time. Can't take chances.
Is the American as tacky and tourist-trappy as the Canadian side, though?

We would be seeing the pretty lights on the falls right now I reckon, being it is after 9pm! Which means we would indeed be on the Canadian side.

I recall those shops being on the Canadian side but this was 1976, heeheehee. Let's go on the maid of the mist now, superfan! (Heh heh, I don't think the boats run at night do they?)

Wait, I need to choose a snowglobe...and a collector spoon.

Okay, I'm ready, Zif, let's go!

Well glad you were okay and were up in New York at the time of Katrina. Best wishes in getting things sorted out in NO.
Thanks, Ziffel. New Orleans just seems so post-apocalyptic, but it will work out.

I said where I didn't want to be, but I didn't really say where I'd like to be, so let's see...

Well I'd like to visit the moon...

on a rocket ship high in the air.

Yes, I'd like to visit the moon...

but I don't think I'd like to live there.

Sorry, about that. :stick_out_tongue:

Well that was a fun ride but I got soaked! How did you manage to avoid the mist from the falls, superfan? Heh heh, and meanwhile you were at the water cooler too. What a wet night this is!

Edit: Oops GeeBee ziffeled me! Well done, didn't see that coming and I think it's your first ziffel! Another historical moment of this most historical weekend at MC!

But seriously, thanks for replying GeeBee and yes things will work out. Glad to hear they even want to keep the Saints in the SuperDome next year.

Luckily they hand out those yellow garbage bag ponchos! My hair's a little damp, but otherwise in good spirits!
Let's get out of these wet things and into a dry martini!!

I'm with you!
Haha yellow garbage bag ponchos! I remember those and the mocassins for the feet (for walking around the American falls). And yeah I guess I did have the ponch for the maid of the mist come to think of it (but still got the face soaked I think)

Okay just checked, no ziffeling this time good!

If you ever want to go, here's how to do it........

That sounds nice, Rosewood. My hubby and I got married there in 99. In Oahu...Waimanala Bay (spelling may be a bit off, sorry). It was beautiful. Bare feet in the sand. It'd be very nice to be able to go back. Nice that you're able to go as often as you do!
Don't get me wrong. We may have gone to Hawai'i many a time, but its not because were rich or anything. If you ever want to go here's how to do it:
Plan it in April, May, Sept, or Oct because that is Hawai'i's slowest time for tourism.
Go to a sight called Travelzoo.com and look at the Hawai'i link. Currently, a round-trip flight with 7 nights hotel (out of Oakland) is $449.00 at the Waikiki Resort Hotel (we have stayed there and it is a clean, moderate hotel; rated #21 out of 100 hotels on "Trip Advisor.com"). We have found that you can fly into LAX< Oakland< and San Francisco for around $120 making the whole thing about $600 per person. Last time we went we had to pay for our 3 year old on the plane, but the total (for 3 people and a one year old) for an 8 day, 7 night trip to Honolulu was only around $1850 with all flights, hotel and rental car wrapped into one!! (meals and entertainment not included)
But if you get an "entertainment" coupon book on line @ entertainment.com you can save even more by using "buy one get one free" coupons for dinners, dinner Cruises, attractions etc!! We saved over $300 on our car rental and food using the book. There is also Sams Club, Costco, Walmart etc. on Oahu!! Learn to be very flexable on your departure and return dates - sometime you can stay for "10" days for the price of 7 because of specials the hotels and airlines have!! Watch for specials on Tripadvisor, Travelocity and other web sights. They change every day and sometimes even every hour! We book about 30 days out for the best rates because car rental, flights and hotels are looking to fill slow times; and not just in Hawai'i but all over the world! Folow these tips, and provide the time and money, and you could have a trip of a life time for alot less than you might think!! (Especially if you are single and/or don't have kids):excited:
