Actually I keep that up all year on purpose. It's: A.) sentimental value B.) distinctive C.) a real work-saver - no pesky changing of avvies at holiday time D.) the online equivalent of leaving one's wreath on the door all year, which is not socially acceptable in real life but, online, avoids cascading brown crispy needles, pitiful sun-faded pink ribbons which once were red, and disapproving looks from passers-by.
