when was this orange anything muppet introduced?

Does anybody know when the orange live-hand anything muppet whose head resembles Ernie's was introduced? Could he have been introduced after Jim Henson died (perhaps turning the Ernie puppet into an anything muppet)?

The earliest that I know of is 1993. That was the year that Sing-Along Earth Songs was released, and one of the songs on that video, "Just Throw it My ay", features this anything Muppet. I think that song is from 1991, but I'm not sure.

The live-hand orange AM was introduced in Season 21.

Also, it should be noted that the actual Ernie puppets have a red mouth with a built-in tongue. The Large Orange Live Hand Anything Muppet has a black mouth and can have a tongue added.
