What year were the typewriter guy cartoons and the sand letter animations off?

As I remember seeing the 1999 SS shows on Noggin any weekend and on day-offs, they showed great animated letter segments like the sand letter animations with cool banjo-and-fiddle music and the noo-nee-noo typewriter guy...but during the newer SS in the 2000's they're disappeared. What year did SS got rid of these?

A lot of kids wouldn't know what a typewriter is anymore anyway....and that he rolls along and says "nu-nu-nu-nuuuu" would just be more confusing.

But I miss him. And the sand letters.

Quinnnnnnnnnnn

I know, but there is a skit on Play With Me Sesame with anything muppets at a party, an old one, and they don't have any music because the RECORD PLAYER is broken. Would kids know what a record player or a record is? And also, for the spanish word of the day, "Telefono", which means "Telephone", Snuffy was answering the phone, and the giant phone that he answered had a ROTARY DIAL. Have kids even seen a phone like that?

What last season? PBS is now showing the 34th season premiere. Did they took our letter favorites off SS in 2001 or 2002?

Well, I mean season 33. But with all the classic clips that have aired this past week, there's a chance they might use at least one. But they're only doing 26 new shows, so I don't actually know.

Oh, ssetta! I thought that the 'sand letters' segments were off Sesame Street in 1999 when you explained about them in the Yesterdayland site, lol! But I believe that Season 31 still shows the sand letters segments, but I think only on a few episodes. Today, I watched the "Y" version on #3912 where Elmo reads the story where he goes to Numberland. The background was yellow and the capital Y and small y are blue, but I have the different color version on my old tape which it had my first Sesame Street shows from 1987.

I think there were several different color versions of those, and many other similar skits. I think it might have actually been so it would look more up to date.

I think both the typewriter guy and the sand letters are seen on Sesame Street Unpaved many times. But on the current episodes from 1999-2000, it shows MUCH less of them.

What Unpaved episodes can these segments be shown?
