sorry I can't help you more, but I would think it would be before 1979 because it's only logical you know. :smirk:

My sources tell me that Fozzie's (or Fozzie's uncle's more accurately) Studebaker was a 1950 Studebaker Champion Regal DeLuxe 2 Door Sedan. Production of Studebaker automobiles ended in 1966. So yeah... way before 1979.

I wonder how on earth the puppeteer managed to steer the car from the trunk! That would be tight, dark, uncomfortable-how could he steer without seeing? How could he see?

Ah. Thanks.

I wonder who has it now.......
It is a 1951. I know the guy who owns it. He is currently working on getting it restored and put in the Studebaker Musuem.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but...

The Studebaker was controlled by an expert driver in a concealed place in the car. How did he see? The same way the puppeteers see the performances of their puppets. Television monitors.
